BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT JIGSAW ACTIVITIES This 15 page branches of government packet specifically covers 4th grade Common Core Standards SL.4.1a , SL.4.1b , SL.4.1d , SL.4.4, SL.4.6 but could easily be made part of a social studies government unit at other grade levels.

Students draw a tree (teacher draws an example on the board) and label each branch with the 3 branches on the government. The "leaves" are divided into three sections for each branch and students give one example in each section of leaves. (This activity can be done with the flower bouquet activity).
