DIY laundry stain remover (better than Shout!) Another very effective and inexpensive stain remover… I tested this and it really works: chalk! If you have a fat stain on a cloth, you ‘overwrite’ it with a simple piece of chalk (like children use for drawing on chalkboard), then put the cloth in the machine. It’s magic!

Homemade Shout...2/3 c. Dawn, 2/3 c. ammonia, 6 T. baking soda, 2 c. warm water. Mix, pour into spray bottle.

homemade oxyclean.....1 cup water, 1/2 cup hydrogen peroxide and 1/2 cup washing soda....mix and store in dark container. Can use like Shout spray or soak item in this overnight. Then wash as usual.

This is absolutely amazing. I had a stain on one of my favorite sweatshirts that just wouldn't come out I tried this then washed it and now the stain is gone! If you have kids or a messy husband try this!! One part Dawn dishwashing liquid soap (generic dish soap works too) two parts hydrogen peroxide add some baking soda for extra scrubbing power (1-2 Tbsp)
