Forrest Gump -- Tom Hanks gives an astonishing performance as Forrest, an everyman whose simple innocence comes to embody a generation.

The Way We Were is a classic. Magnetic and irresistsble Redford and Streisand (before she became as unbearbly egoistic publicly) made a strange pairing both on and off the screen. But somehow the film still works and perfectly captures the era and theme it was meant to. Quite moving.

Chicago (2002) This is my favorite Broadway Musical and the movie is excellent. Renee Zellweger is fantastic and the soundtrack is fantastic. I have the whole album on my iPod. Not all Broadway shows translate well onto the big screen, IMHO this one does. / kj

This is an amazing book! Everyone Man or Woman, Young or Old should read it.

"Sixteen Candles". I've said it before: I just do not get these John Hughes-films. Why do they have to be so... weird? Everything about them seems unnatural or sort of forced, like when older people are trying to act young and hipster-like. ♥ ♥
