    Quigg Edmond Baxter (24) The night of Titanic's sinking he made sure his mother, sister, as well as Berthe, (who didn't want to get into the boat without Quigg) were secured in a lifeboat. His last words to his girls was "Au revoir bon espoirvous autres"-Goodbye and keep your spirits up everyone! He waved his last goodbye-as he perished later that night with the Titanic.

    Isador and Ida Straus. Isador owned Macy's. When the Titanic began to sink, Ida refused to get on a lifeboat without her husband. They were inseperable in life, writing to each other every day they were apart. He was offered a place with her, but HE refused, saying younger men should go in his place. He put his wife's maid on instead. They were last seen sitting together quietly on the deck of the Titanic. I hope to face my end with as much grace.

    Anna Mae Dickinson was eight when she lost her father and narrowly escaped death herself on the Titanic. She was 11 when she lost her Aunt Olivia in the torpedoing of the Lusitania. She was 31 when she lost her first cousin Alfred in the Hindenberg explosion. She was 37 when she lost her nephew Thomas in the bombing of Pearl Harbor.And she was 97 when her tiny apartment was shaken and battered by the collapse of the twin towers on Sept 11, 2001 and blessed by God to have survived through it all.

    The RMS Titanic departs Southampton on 10April 1912. Later that day, at Cherbourg,  Molly Brown would board the doomed liner with her Egyptian ‘treasures’.
