Beautiful idea but $32 on etsy + $10 s/h. I know that I can make this for about 2-3 bucks with a piece of barn wood, leftover kids blocks and some hooks. I don't care that much for the black blocks think that I would distress them in their natural colors
DIY Tabletop Lamp From Old Toys | Shelterness - To make the lamp you need to arrange the toys to form a nice looking base and bond them together using hot glue or any other glue you think would work. Don’t forget to put the cord through this base and fix a bulb on the top. Then you can cover the lamp base with several coats of paint and one coat of polyurethane lacquer.
From Craft Kitsch to Cool
Spray-painted chandeliers-- get an ugly brass one from a thrift store & do this. I had a friend who did this, it actually turned out pretty neat looking. I actually have one in my room. It's hand painted not spray painted but I could see that being cool too.
spray paint your folding chairs >> Simple way to update old and boring chairs. #DIY What a cool idea - our chairs are the yucky green/gray they come in. I think making the chairs colorful might make me use them more and enjoy them when we do. Note to self: Find some time in 2013 to paint my chairs rainbow colors. #ModerationNation
