c. 1860's White Cotton Broderie Anglaise Lace Petticoat

Natural form bustle gown, 1876. Made for warm weather, possibly in the daytime. White cotton gauze over brushed cotton. Basque bodice opens in inverted V over hips and is edged with needle lace. Sleeves heavily ruched w/self-lace insertions, ending in self-flounced ruffles edged w/lace ruffles.
