Do everything without whining, complaining or arguing. Every one has their own jar. Start off the week with a set amount of quarters in each jar. If they are caught whining or complaining, they lose a quarter. At the end of the week, they get the money that remains....their future mama may need this too! haha!

A commission schedule for kids instead of handing them money for an allowance - great idea. I would have done a lot more chores when I was younger! frugaldad.com/do-you-pay-your-kids-an-allowance/

FINALLY! THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR! You do not get paid for chores because it's an expected part of being a family. Allowance is teaching children how to manage money. Thank you, Pinterest. Now I have a place to start.

Oh my gosh - I totally DO THIS! even for my own medicine! What a great idea for forgetful parents (mom mush brain life saver)

Streamlining summer snacking with pretend money

I love this idea--have the kids "pay" for their snacks. When they are out of money, no more snacks for the day.

Uh-oh jar-what a great idea to discipline the kiddos. Really think it would cut down on the whining......."uh oh you need to pick another one".....

Fun idea: If you don't pick something up after one warning, this mom confiscates it and puts it in a "ransom box." The only way you can get it back is to draw a task from the envelope attached to the box lid. Her tasks are hilarious!

Kid's Editable Daily List and Chore Chart by SweetCoconutLime

Pull out a consequence. Talking back? Pull out a consequence. Not picking up your things? Pull out a consequence, maybe you'll get "Your lucky day. No consequence THIS TIME."

This girl had the BEST IDEA!!! She said, "My son is in preschool and the adorable art work is pouring in. I know he isn't going to want all these old papers when he is older so I am taking a picture of everything, keeping my very favorites to display at holidays or in a scrapbook and everything else just has to go. I found this amazing idea for displaying his artwork using the photos I have taken
