A starring role in Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon followed in 1975. Moving at a stately pace, the costume drama served Marisa well; very few actresses can pull off such big hair and still look so dignified.

Stanley Kubrick's 'Barry Lyndon', 1975 - An Irish rogue ( Ryan O'Neal) wins the heart of a wealthy widow ( Marisa Berenson) and assumes her deceased husband's aristocratic position in 18th century England. Filmed in 1975, at 3 plus hours long, this looked like Kubrick's opus.To many viewers the movies length; plus languid cinematography met with mixed reviews. But it was actually true to Thackeray's novel; plus many of Kubrick's scenes were like works of art - A 1970's forgotten masterpiece.

Barry Lyndon (1975) A great film where every scene looks like a painting. We used several pieces of the soundtrack for our wedding music.
