Cutting for Stone- I would have to say that was one of the best stories bookclub has read in a long time. We all loved it.

A book that leads you to think about alternate realities...very engaging.

I wish I were as gutsy and fab as Michael Tonello! Oh and if you wanna find out the secret to scoring that Birkin without going on the 2 year waitlist. ♕

Great Books for a Book Club (or just to read yourself) ~ check these out!... Personally I could not put down "Room" or "The Glass Castle" loved them!

Loved, loved, loved this book. It made me think of my own mom so much and it validated just plain art and expression.

Disfigured by the blow of an abusive husband, & suffering her entire life w/ severe social anxiety disorder, the widow Mary McAllister spends almost 60 years secluded in a white marble mansion overlooking the town of Mill River, Vermont. Her links to the outside world: the mail, the media, an elderly priest with a guilty habit of pilfering spoons, & a bedroom window with a view of the town below. The Mill River Recluse is a story of triumph over tragedy. $0.99

Loved it. It was so haunting I stopped to Google the book/author because I could not believe it was a true story.

Water for Elephants - Sara Gruen Good book, but found the animal cruelty in spots hard to stomach!
