Distressing with vaseline

How to Distress Paint Using Vaseline!

Wipe vaseline on the base coat before adding your final color to help with the distressing, then lightly sand those areas to reveal the base color. This is dark walnut, but an aqua or mint green would change it up too.......D.

Use Vaseline to distress project. Simply do your dark (under) coat and let dry. Apply Vaseline where you will be distressing so top coat won't adhere as well. Apply top coat, dry, then lightly sand where you want distressed. (Acrylic paint works well as base coat and latex paint is nice for a top coat, since it distresses well)
