Xochimilco , 1950 by Juan Rulfo, the novelist....He was a photographer before he wrote The Burning Plain and Pedro Paramo. The three main themes of his photography are architecture, landscape and ethnography. The camera became his constant companion until 1962; afterwards he would engage in photography only occasionally. Yet he generated a vast output. There are more than six thousand negatives, now guarded by the Foundation Juan Rulfo.
