'Pussy willow' is a name given to many of the smaller species of the genus Salix (willows and sallows) when their furry catkins are young in early spring.

strangly enough. we sang this in sunday school. "i know a little pussy. he coat is silver grey. she lives out in meddow. so very far away. she'll always be a pussy. she'll never be a cat. cause shes a pussy willow. now what do you think of that. meow meow meow meow meow. SCAT."

Pussy willows These bring back such fond memories of my childhood home We had tons of bushes growing all around. I remember always bringing some in to school for my teacher.

Pussy Willows grow where there is water. I love going out in the spring to cut them. They stay like this if you don't put them in water. Cut them long so that you can arrange them properly.
