DIY Picture Tiles - modge podge photo print outs from your computer onto tiles from the home store. First used Picasa or other editor to crop your picture into a square, then resize to fit your tile. Print out, modge podge back of photo, lay on tile, using a hard edge to smooth all air bubbles. Then modge podge over the top and sides to seal. Can be artistic with swirls as you modge podge the surface. Let dry, sand the edges if the paper hangs over, then hang with double sided tape or plate hanger, or superglue a picture hanger to the back to hang with a nail. Print your photo on Lazertran paper, making sure the image prints on the chalky eggshell side. Let dry for 30 minutes. Cut the image to size. Soak the printout facedown in a pan of water for about a minute. Peel off the backing and place the filmy printout onto a ceramic vase, smoothing out any air bubbles. Once the paper dries, the white on the photo will show. If you want it to be clear, paint one to three coats of polyurethane over the top of the image.
