RSM note: I like the wood ceiling. Could we do something like this with the fireplace at the end and have part of the wooden roof part closed like the picture and part of it more of a pergola style where it lets some light through? We'd have to strategize which end would be open and which closed. Also from an architechtural standpoint, can we do a roof like this, or does it need to be a slant away from our house, since it will be connected to our house on one side?
