    The Avro Canada CF-105 Arrow was a delta-winged interceptor aircraft, designed & built by Avro Aircraft Limited in Malton, Ont, Canada, as a design study that began in 1953. The CF-105 held the promise of Mach 2 speeds at alt's exceeding 50,000 ft (15,000 m) & was intended to serve as the RCAF's primary interceptor in the 1960s & beyond. After the 1958 start of its flight test program, the development of the Arrow (including its Orenda Iroquois jet engines) was abruptly & controversially halted

    Avro Canada CF-105 Arrow. A delta-winged interceptor aircraft that was the pride of Avro and Canada. Introduced on 4 October 1957. It may have been capable of Mach 3. Mysteriously cancelled 20 February 1959 under much controversy and put Avro out of business.
