I LOVE THIS IDEA!!! "Every Easter, my mom hosts an egg hunt at her house for my two daughters, ages 9 and 5. She puts puzzle pieces in plastic eggs, and the girls, after collecting them, try putting the puzzle together to see if they have found them all. If a piece is missing, they know an egg is still out there and they need to keep hunting!" --Donita Calef Chester Springs, PA Originally published in the March 2013 issue of FamilyFun
Dyed-Egg Toppers It's easy to transform eggs into this stylish cast of characters. Start by drawing faces with permanent markers. Then follow the directions for each hat by downloading the template below. Tip: To display our eggs, we set them on plastic rings from the sewing section of craft stores, but 2-liter bottle caps also work well.
Each glittery chick is sitting atop a creamy, stylish ceramic egg cup "float", wrapped in a wool roving nest decorated with flowers and wrapped in shiny tinsel. Their perky Easter hats are covered in glitter and also decorated with a paper flower.
