This is a pretty way to add color to your backyard, especially if you don't have that much space.

I pinned this forever ago and it got deleted. But this is what I've been working on for months now. Anna Malcolm, ours are more than just 4 herbs.

Got Herbs? Try this out in a Hanging Pocket Shoe Rack -This is perfect if you just have a small outdoor space. Just poke a few holes on the bottom of each pouch and fill with good soil, then a small rooted herb plant. If you water from the top, it trickles down to the lower 'pocket', like a waterfall, so don't over water!

DIY herb gardens. Cut the soda bottle or any plastic bottle with a cover. Turn upside down; attach to board. I'm thinking of leaving the cover to the bottle on; punch in a few holes to drain excess water, but not have the soil drain out also.

A vertical herb garden would be so perfect, especially in small spaces.

Hanging herb garden - pair sage and rosemary, parsley (appreciates weekly liquid feeding and midday shade) and chives, and basil (cut some shoots off a supermarket-bought plant and stand them in water until they produce roots, then pot up the plantlets individually).

Now I know what to do with my shoe hanger when I move into the duplex. We need a way to grow stuff without crowding the patio or taking up space on the grass. Schweet!

herb garden wall .... I love the idea of creating a vertical garden for backyard privacy screening. Can't you just imagine the scent in the breeze? Yum!
