Gwinna by Barbara Helen Berger

Gwinna By Barbara Helen Berger. This was my all time favorite book growing up.

Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume, is about a nine-year-old boy named Peter and his mischievous two-year-old little brother Fudge. The book is shot from Peter's point of view. At school Peter feels like he's not listened to and the same could be said for home because Peter finds Fudge annoying. Peter is angry that his parents don't discipline Fudge more especially when it involves Peter's beloved pet turtle, Dibble. Great for eight and up.

My grade teacher read this aloud to our class. Since I had pet turtles, I was quite disturbed by the fate of the one in the book. However, in retrospect, I don't really think it's possible for a child- or an adult- to swallow a turtle.

a pile of leaves: A Pile of Puffins: Little Old Mrs Pepperpot, by Alf Prøysen

Little Old Mrs Pepperpot, by Alf Prøysen I loved these books as a child, and my kids loved them too. Pepperpot shrinks at the most inopportune times. Which leads to lots of adventures for the doll size woman.
