Pol CHAMBOST Pichet en céramique à décor de trois femmes entrelacées à
Color, Ceramic, French Style
Pol Chambost, a ceramicist, chose the 1930s to the 1980s, the earth as artistic expression. The flights of his curvilinear ceramic visions, sensual, daring but also traditional, reveal an artist's passion for beautiful objects, useful and decorative. Juxtaposition of colors, materials and uniqueness of forms, studies of traits, an association of lines and curves: all signs to recognize those icons of the French style of the 1950s. Some ideas for adding color to unglazed fired clay. Not everything needs to be food safe!
Non-traditional methods for getting color on fired clay projects WITHOUT glaze! These are great(this particular example is antiquing), using coloring materials like watercolor, chalk pastel and colored pencil! I've never done these, but I plan on trying them! :)
Non-traditional glazing methods- prime bisqued clay with black tempera, then colour with oil pastels, chalk pastels, etc. Cool idea!

Sasha Bakaric, "Inspiration comes from microscopic images of cells & microorganisms as basis of life. I am intrigued by dichotomy between enormous beauty of these images and fears or repulsiveness that people often have when faced with viruses or bacteria. I love the idea of questioning our relationship with the world inside of us. In the same way as microorganism are multiplying and spreading, so are my pieces. I find great excitement in making yet another similar but totally unique piece."
