I am a believer that chemicals need to be removed from the home. They are detrimental to our health, especially to children and animals, and contribute to cancer and other diseases. Removing even one chemical from the home is an improvement. Here are more chemical free recipes for your home. Easy to follow instructions for making your own dishwasher detergent, liquid dish detergent and scouring powder.

Homemade Dishwasher Detergent recipe that ACTUALLY works. No borax, just 3 cents per load. So easy and quick to make.

This works great, I used the citric acid in my mix because i dont use any artificial ingredients. I found it at Wally Mart by the canning supplies for $2.95. I did add some Organic white vinegar to the rinse dispenser to help with some of the spots. I am pinning to save $$ because she has SO many great ideas on how to save you money but also clean your house green! GREAT BLOG!

According to one pinner: Holy Cow!!! This stuff is AWESOME!!! I only made 1/2 as much (I didn't have as much lemonade as I thought, oops). I will not be buying dishwasher soap ever again!!!! My tupperware looks brand new again!

Homemade Hard Water Dishwasher Detergent. This is my FAVORITE favorite favorite dish soap. I have really hard water and this (well the Lemi Shine) keeps my dishes all sparkly!

DIY - Homemade Dishwasher Detergent Recipe for a fraction of store bought - Works great btw!

Dishwasher Soap: I used LemiShine instead of citric acid. Makes 3c, stores fine in a quart jar. Note: use plenty of vinegar in that rinse aid spot!! Not enough and it doesn't do nearly as well.
