Good cleaning idea..Place a dishwasher-safe cup filled with plain white vinegar on the top rack of the dishwasher. Using the hottest water available, run the dishwasher through a cycle. Next, sprinkle a cupful of baking soda around the bottom of the tub and run it through a short cycle. The baking soda will help freshen and removing stains.
dishwasher soap - Baking Soda (frugal favorite!) Borax (all-natural household cleaner, available at many stores in the laundry aisle) Mix together equal parts of each ingredient, store in a labeled container Use just like a commercial powdered detergent, approximately 2 TBS per load. That’s it! Each load will cost you mere pennies. (also use vinegar in the jetdry well instead of the expensive stuff)
Make Your Own Dishwasher Detergent Tabs - I put the vinegar in the Jet Dry part and just added the dry ingredients plus lemon essential oil. Did not add salt as that is for hard water and we do not have hard water.
