Hanging curtains: Take one of your ring clips and turn it around the corner so that it’s hanging on the bracket rather than the rod. Then run the rest of your clips on the rod like normal. Goodbye annoying side light!

To get rid of the light that comes through the sides of your curtains, slip one of the curtain ring clips onto the rod bracket. No more side light! #DIY #curtains #window

Use Visual Tricks to Raise The Ceiling • If your ceilings are on the low side, paint them white. Hang curtains higher than the windows to trick your eye into thinking the room is taller. Most standard curtain panels measure 84 or 96 in. allowing you to go about 3 in. above the window casing before they get too short. If you want to hang them higher you'll have to custom order. Try vertical stripes the lines elongate your walls. Lean a large mirror against a wall which can make a room seem taller

Good old Martha taught us that rather than buying those ridiculously expensive anti-slip mats for a rug, just turn it over and run a few lines of acrylic-latex caulk every 6 inches or so. Let dry and flip over and your rug wont be going anywhere! help-homek

Instantly hang a second panel behind existing curtains using a bungee cord. Would also work great for temporarily hanging holiday/party lights & decorations in front of your windows.

This is such a simple and beautiful idea.

Sheer Elegance: Romanticize any room with this bold drapery that beckons the princess inside us all. A pretty two-tone effect adds visual interest but does not take away from the beautiful delicacy of the detailing in the sheers.

No glass...no cleaning the shower door! And 2 sides with separate shower heads in case you both have to get ready at the same time! Love this

Cloth napkin cafe curtains: Just clip 'em on and you're done; cute, cheap, easy to change out for different seasons and meant to be laundered often

Curtain rod made from dowel and drawer knob. Way cheaper. Totally doing this.

I love to do this same thing in the bathroom...I have my normal shower curtain, but then added another rod up high and hung two pulled back curtains on either side to frame the tub. (makes the bathroom seem SO much larger that way!!)

GREAT Tip: Take popsicle sticks and paint them the color of every wall in your house. Carry with you on the go to match furniture, curtains, decorations, etc. I've seen the full paint stirrer version of this but love this portable-sized idea!!

Paint an old ladder for the laundry room - perfect for hanging to dry - love, love, love this idea!!!

Hang curtains from the ceiling... to avoid measuring, also makes ceilings look really high.
