Downtown Seattle is popping with color, and not just from the spring leaves and flowers. Volunteers helped artist Konstantin Dimopoulos paint the trees in Westlake Park blue. He says the response, for the most part, has been positive. The goal is to raise awareness of global deforestation. The water-based paint is non-toxic, so it’s won’t hurt the trees. The blue color will eventually fade.
