A six-week-old, eight-ounce male "black-footed cat" kitten is the first one born at Brookfield Zoo. The smallest feline in Africa, the cat is the result of a North American breeding program to sustain this threatened species. A black-footed cat grows to about half the size of a domestic tabby.
