To Ban or Not to Ban: The Politics of Plastic Bag Laws - Population Education

The theme of Earth Day 2018 is ending plastic pollution. A single bag can take 1,000 years to break down, and even biodegradable plastic bags take 18 months to break down. But with Americans throwing away an estimated 100 billion of them annually, how can we best decrease their use?
