Glow in the dark Silly Putty - make it yourself

It's more like glow in the dark SLIME than Silly Putty but we still had fun. AND it's easy to wash off clothing, not that MY daughter would give me reason to know that. :)

OTs ♥ GOO!!! What a great sensory tool. You can also do fine motor activities with silly putty. Check it out!

Here is the recipe: 1. Take a small mixing bowl and add 2 Tablespoons of Warm Water. Then add 2 Tablespoons of White Elmer’s School Glue (other glues might not work as well) and a drop or two of food coloring. Mix together thoroughly. 2. Sprinkle in 1 and 3/4 to 2 Tablespoons of Borax into your glue mixture while stirring constantly. Your mixture will thicken up quickly. When the borax is all added, gather the mixture into a ball and knead together for a few minutes till firm. That’s it!

Translucent Silly Putty You need clear Elmers Glue, Liquid Starch, and a bowl to mix it in.  I used the entire bottle of glue and then about 1/2 that amount of starch (not equal parts).

Magnetic Silly Putty is the coolest new craft for kids. You've got to make this!

Two Ingredient-Homemade Silly Putty (color optional). Remember getting a tiny blob of this stuff as a child? Make it at home in larger quantities for hours of sensory play. It lasts for months when stored in an air tight container.
