Petra, the world wonder, is without a doubt one of Jordan’s most valuable treasures and greatest tourist attractions. It is a vast, unique city, carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabataeans, an industrious Arab people who settled here more than 2000 years ago, turning it into an important junction for the silk, spice and other trade routes that linked China, India and southern Arabia with Egypt, Syria, Greece and Rome.

' The Lost City' in Jordan- Petra, a World Heritage Site as well as one of the “Seven Wonders of the World”. The name itself means “rock” and the whole city is famous for its rock cut architecture, amazing rock pathways, mysterious caves and breathtaking views. Indiana Jones was filmed here. On my bucket list.
