A glittering 'inland sea' created by artist Bruce Munro from 600,000 donated CDs is seen in Long Knoll Field in Wiltshire. The installation comes to life when illuminated by sunlight reflecting off the disks. The installation, called CD Sea, will be the first of a number of self-funded 'eco' installations using recycled materials at the site. The field at Long Knoll is intersected by a wavy path cut across it for people to walk through.

This piece is Field of Light by Bruce Munro that was displayed in Cornwall, England from November 2008-March 2009. It's such a beautiful yet simple piece that seems almost fantasy-like in the dark field! It was an attraction for many when it was on display, and could be put on display again in the future.

This is the explanation of the miracle of St. Francis walking on the sea. His body no longer weighed like ours, so light had it become through the soul.”
