from meet the dubiens Bologna sandwich cut into a semi-circle for the bottom of the boat. Cut another piece of bologna into a triangle to use as the sail. A thin slice of cheese to attach the sail to the boat. Blueberries for the water, cucumber clouds, and fruit leather fish details. I cut the fish and clouds out of adorable bento cutters I got from All Things for Sale (link in my sidebar). Have a great weekend everyone! L is for Lion! This is made with half a toasted english muffin (or bagel) with peanut butter, banana and blueberry eyes, orange nose & slivered almond mouth. The mane is made with clementine oranges, garnished with bananas, and a cheese letter L (you could also slice the rest of the banana lengthwise to make the "L" in two pieces instead of using cheese).
I think it would be fun to incorporate one "fun food" day into the week. Especially if it was the kid's "worst day" (piano lesson, test day, something)...
I like this fun owl idea... normally, I do not have time, am not creative enough (or honestly, just don't feel like it) to do these fun kid lunch ideas... plus, I hate wasting food. But, the owl doesn't waste anything & is totally easy. Even I could do this one! :D
