Enter the gate to a snowy winter wonderland.
An iron gate, placed randomly between two great oaks in the woods. It's purpose wasn't to keep anyone out, or anyone in. It was there to act as a door, and a reminder: that once you pass through, everything will be as odd as that gate in the middle of the woods.

The gate is pretty, but I mostly just love the fact that the water is slightly lapping around its base.
Art Nouveau Wrought Iron Door. I would actually like this indoors--like the entrance to a kitchen or formal dining room.

Gate. A house door in Vienna. I think it would make an excellent garden gate, just look at the ribbon flourish on those wreaths!

Some people may think this isn't pretty....but I think it's beautiful. The architecture of that time is amazing, and I love how moody and dark this is. It's almost as if the photographer stumbled upon this on a walk in the woods :)
