    Les Miserables

Les Miserables- An excellent book worth reading even though it is incredibly long. Movies don't do it justice.

Les Misérables ~ Young Cosette sweeping: 1886 engraving for Victor Hugo’s Les Miserables. French illustrator Émile Bayard drew the sketch of Cosette for the first edition, and this engraving was prepared for an 1886 edition. The image has become emblematic of the entire story, being used in promotional art for various versions of the musical.

Les Miserables. Classically long and heart wrenching. Looking forward to a fantastic movie of the musical in December 2012

Victor Hugo - Les Miserables - can not count how many times we have seen it more every time, everywhere...New York, London, Atlanta, Dallas...even the PBS musical was fantastic. Go see it if you can :) I can't wait to see it this Christmas!

HOPEFUL AND MOVED. Les Miserables. Best musical ever. If you have never seen it or listened to it, do so. And not the movie. Has to be on stage. In real life.

I started to read Les Misérables, by Victor Hugo, again after watching the recent movie version of the musical play. Time and several musical versions seemed to blur the details of the original book. I could now download it for free on my Kindle as there are no more copyrights on a book this old. This etching is a portrait of one of the characters, "Cosette" by Emile Bayard, from the original edition of Les Misérables (1862)

Les Mis... Love this quote and love the musical too. Especially the first Marius! I love anything performed on the stage. My idea of a perfect date...a quiet dinner for two and a night at the theater.

My all-time favourite musical!! Saw it live in Toronto in my teens and took my mom to see it for her 50th birthday! :) Inspired me to learn more about Victor Hugo and read the book in high school!! Absolutely the BEST musical, story and music every written!!! :)
