Scrap wood becomes shadowbox planter frames

  • Dub N Dub or DnD

I like this idea for planter boxes. Have spare wood will build. The Pinner said: "Turn leftover wood into shadow boxes to hang on a fence, giving extra growing room for potted plants or display space. These are strong enough to support a gallon-size plant in a ceramic pot. ******************************************** Sunset - #garden #wall #shelf #display t√"

Defo doing this....LOVE it! Potted plants in wooden frames attached to the garden fence. Good use of space and eye catching!

    Outdoor shadow boxes for planters

  • Creations from Ash

I love this... I want to do this on my fence... With my herbs? Inside the frames and on top? So adorable. Question is: would it pass strata rules... Maybe if I did frames along the entire fence?... Which would be pretty awesome too... Would this fence idea work for an herb garden?? In case you have a dull wooden fence at your backyard you can easily spice up it. You can make a colorful vertical garden of it. Tools and materials - Terra-cotta pots - Painters tape - Spray paint - Flowerpot hanger

hang on ugly fence? yes, I think so.

great way to create privacy, extra seating in a small space (could run a long table in front of the bench) and incorporate trailing plants. Would be perfect for the back of the yard when we take down the shed.

Yes, I know it's a fence. But those curls would look really cool in a wire pendant with gemstones or beads attached/dangling.

I am thinking this would be so cute around the fruit/veggie garden... put some chicken wire on the back side of it to keep the stray footballs/kickballs out...
