Lacquered yellow walls impart bracing brio to a guest room in the 2011 Hampton Designer Showhouse. Cool turquoise bedding and upholstery fabrics take down the temperature a degree or two, while a swirl-pattern lemon-and-gray area rug repeats the sunny color in a sophisticated combo that makes it more subtle. Tip: Lacquer yellow paint on the walls to amp up a guest room or home office.

I'm not a huge fan of the mirror, but I like the idea of pushing the twin beds together in this way and I LOVE the curvature of the headboards!

Plain and simple yet elegant and refined what a beautiful sense of self beautiful master bedroom

Nice headboard shape, repeated curves in the nailhead pattern on the bench, more dots on the floor. The side tables look like thrift shop finds, and maybe they should have waited to photograph the room until after they had found artwork.

I adore this great lamp hiding at the top of the photograph, it really draws in the symmetry and complements the yellow headboard.
