The Last Lions (2011). A resilient lioness in Botswana's Okavango Delta embarks on an epic journey of survival in this nature documentary from National Geographic and award-winning filmmakers Dereck and Beverly Joubert. Narrated by Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons. Absolutely incredible to imagine the patience and persistence necessary to have captured these images. A must -see!
The Last Lions is supposed to be a documentary, but it had a cheesy narration, Hollywood style special effects and is shot in ultra-motion. This makes it a very entertaining movie and a lousy documentary. Slow but worth the watch because they'll become extinct before we know it.
