"Women are not the problem - they're the solution." -Sheryl WuDunn (photo credit: Dietmar Temps on Flickr)

I feel that this quote is one way to interpet how fenimism is viewed through the eyes of not only women but also men to a certain extent. Feminism is not to have women hold onto the power over men, but rather to have everyone treated equally. Whereas, men should be able to put in just as much respect onto women as women love and respect men!

"Feminism is not here to dictate you. It's not prescriptive. It's not dogmatic. All we are here to do is to give you a choice. If you want to run for Prime Minister, you can. If you don't, that's wonderful too. Gender equality is your issue too. Both men and women should feel free to be strong. All we are here to do is to give you a choice." ~ Emma Watson Artist: Slide Away, on Tumblr (

I really like this photo because of what it represents. So many women gathered together to fight for equality. The words "A woman's place is everywhere," really speaks to the heart of every women. If they are ever questioning where they belong or where they should go, they just have to remember that their place is everywhere and anywhere they think they should be. (15)

In 1999 Time named Pankhurst as one of the 100 Most Important People of the 20th Century, stating: "she shaped an idea of women for our time; she shook society into a new pattern from which there could be no going back."
