Since our 30 day squat challenge is coming to an end I thought we should keep workout challenges going. May will be an abs and arms challenge. For those that started strong but gave up on the squat challenge, these next two challenges seem a bit easier. As always, these can be incorporated into your normal workouts or do them on their own. Exercise pictures and instructions from Women's Health website. ETA: "Mad Muscle May" challenge we start off with 2 sets of each exercise. I'll let you know how many to do each day. And this is from last year so the days are a little off. Rest days for this one will be Sundays. April's Squat challenge: http://community.babycenter.com/post/a41017027/done_-_30_day_squat_challenge ABS: ARMS: Crunches: (ignore the weight - put your hands behind your head, elbows out) A Sit on the floor with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor, hands behind head. B Raise your head and shoulders and crunch your rib cage toward your pelvis. Pause, then slowly return to the starting position. Tricep Dips: Sit on the edge of a bench or chair with your knees bent and your feet on the floor in front of you. Place your palms facedown next to your thighs and, keeping your arms straight, scoot forward until your hips and butt are in front of the seat (a) . Bend your elbows to lower your hips until your upper arms are parallel to the floor (b) . Push back to start. That's one rep. Do as many reps as possible until you have to pause or can't maintain form. Push Ups: Get into a pushup position with your feet hip-width apart and your hands slightly outside your shoulders. Your body should form a straight line from head to heels. Lower your body until your chest nearly touches the floor. Pause, then push back to the starting position as quickly as possible. That's one rep. Mountain climbers: Assume a pushup position with your arms completely straight. Your body should form a straight line from your shoulders to your ankles (a) . Lift your right foot off the floor and slowly raise your knee as close to your chest as you can (b) . Return to the starting position and repeat with your left leg (c) . Continue alternating for the prescribed number of reps or time. We start Wednesday, May 1!

Your body needs at least 8 glasses of water each day in order to prevent dehydration and flush out all the toxins. Drinking water will also help you feel full – helping you avoid those hunger pains,and also keep you dehydrated . Each meal should have a healthy fat, protein and some carbohydrates!i started with beetroot juice which is healthier option too. Try to create muscle with intake of proteins like chicken ,muscles creation in your body will help fat reduction too .Avoid rice at dinner ,you can have rice at lunch but a big no at dinner Start with these common habits for your diet and then we will start with work out for your flat stomach .i know its crazy to be focused about it or some times you will also feel you want it in day.but don't be in hurry. Starting today, the new challenge is the 21/31 day abs, butt and thigh exercise One set will be as follows: One standing oblique crunch on each side, one squat- jump x 21 sets Starting today, and excluding weekends and public holidays, the challenge ends on the 21st June and should work out to 21 exercise days (with one spare day off). Seeing a number trend here? Yes .. my colleague (who came up with the idea for the challenge) is very into numbers. I must remember to ask her what the significance is. I'm sure she told me, but I was having a brain dead day. I might throw in some cardio or strength exercises inbetween if I am feeling energetic, but I think this sounds like a manageable exercise that I can easily fit into my day.
