Who knew? Wad up some aluminum foil and throw it in the dryer. No need for dryer sheets, and it gets off the static even better! I wonder if this will work since my DIY fabric softener isn't helping with static cling.
Do you find that even after using dryer sheets, your clothes are STILL full of static cling?? Throw in a rolled up ball of aluminum foil and see the difference!! (You can use the same ball over and over again too) - Lots of other helpful hints too
Wad up some aluminum foil and throw in the dryer. No need for dryer sheets, and it gets off the static even better! Good to know since we just bought some dryer balls and they suck.
Use aluminum foil balls in the dryer in place of fabric softener sheets. Apparently this really does work to cut down static, although of course you don't get the scent of the fabric softener.
Use rolled up balls of aluminum foil in the dryer instead of dryer sheets.. Works like a charm to prevent static cling and does fluff the clothes ;)
Foil ball works like dryer sheets! (except the smell of the dryer sheet!) Literally wad up a small to medium sized ball of good ol aluminum foil & toss I'm with wet clothes! Voila`! :)

Driving Screws into MDF - One thing I don't like about MDF is its tendency to split along the edge of a workpiece. But, luckily, there are a couple of things you can do to avoid this problem. #mdf #tips #screws
Driving Screws into MDF Use a straight-shanked screw instead of a tapered woodscrew. Support the sides by clamping them when screwing.

Try these two tips the next time you're working with MDF and you shouldn't have any problems with splitting: using a straight-shanked screw, right above
Try these two tips the next time you're working with MDF - straight shank screw & clamp the board that you're drilling into.
