Great poster for retelling beginning, middle, and's so hard to get the kiddos to just tell the IMPORTANT parts...this might help :)

This poster would be great to teach students about summarizing, as the NYS ELA Common core standards indicate : 4.RL.2 and 5.RL.2 asks students to summarize a text they have read. This poster can be a reference tool when students start summary writing.

Story Elements- What a great thing to have on the walls of your classroom so the students are able to refer back throughout the year.

Story elements... I would definitely change this chart... Add "solution" & maybe give "theme" its own chart. Most definitely spell check :)
