Bob Hope & Lucy in the facts of life

Bob Hope co-stars with Diller on an episode of "The Kraft Music Hall" in 1967. Her career skyrocketed in the 1960s, partly because of her many appearances with Hope on his television specials.

Phyllis Diller, the wacky comic with the machine-gun laugh, died Aug. 20, 2012, at the age of 95. She appeared in dozens of films, wrote books, was a staple on Bob Hope's TV specials, and paved the way for a generation of female comics.
