Regardless of the plant material, I love the plantings on both sides of this pathway to ground it. Looks like it has always been there.

Concrete balls nestled in shade garden... in the PNW and other wet areas, these will soon turn into moss balls!

America needs to increase it's investment in gardens surrounding crumbly ruins. If we could actually build up some really nice churches and then have the state seize them and let them go to ruin that would actually be great. In the meantime, if you know about any crumbly ruins, let me know.

Use old shutters and a mirror on an uninteresting wall, fence or garage. Plant a climbing rose to surround it, pots underneath - beautiful.

Love this potting shed-I really want to be in there right now listening to music, drinking and potting some favorite flowers.

Plant tulip bulbs in November then forget about them until the following Spring. After they've flowered allow them to dry out, lift them shaking off any excess soil and store in a paper bag in a dry, dark place. Plant them again the following Autumn. This way bulbs can last years!
