Congo by Michael Crichton was a very good book which was turned into a not so good movie. Well worth the read.
Congo by Michael Crichton Deep in the African rain forest, near the legendary ruins of the Lost City of Zinj, an expedition of eight American geologists are mysteriously and brutally killed in a matter of minutes. A new expedition—along with Amy ( a gorilla with an extraordinary vocabulary of 620 "signs" )—is sent into the Congo, where they enter a secret world, and the only way out may be through a horrifying death

Deep in the African rain forest, near the legendary ruins of the Lost City of Zinj, an expedition of eight American geologists are mysteriously and brutally killed in a matter of minutes. Ten thousand miles away, Karen Ross, the Congo Project Supervisor, watches a gruesome video transmission of the aftermath: a camp destroyed, tents crushed and torn, equipment scattered in the mud alongside dead bodies—all motionless except for one moving image—a grainy, dark, man-shaped blur ....
Congo- Michael Crichton. Another great book and another really bad movie adaptation.

How do you change your luck? Katherine Center’s marvelously entertaining and poignant new novel is about choosing to look for happiness—and maybe getting lucky enough to find it. A Lion Among Men (3rd Book of the Wicked Series) by Gregory Maguire I need to read this one.
"He knew about being alone. The weather was always cold there." A Lion Among Men (The Wicked Years #3) by Gregory Maguire, Douglas Smith (Illustrator). Pinner writes: "I found this the most accessible in the wicked series in terms of Maguire's writing. I think the simplicity of this book is what worked. The Cowardly Lion was always my favorite character so to have a book solely about him is just wonderfully splendid. The plot thickens and we sure aren't in Kansas anymore!"

Yep - might be obsessed. Yahoo for "smut" books :) Fifty Shades Of Grey: Book One Of The Fifty Shades Trilogy
This is the New York Bestseller that everyone has been talking about. It is an interesting read; romance novel with very steamy exploits between Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. Everyone is guessing who will play these two in the movies and I am putting my bet on Bradley Cooper. He is too old though so my next bet would be Zak Efron.

I liked this book because, unlike Catcher In The Rye, Plath's crazy was almost relatable. She uses gorgeous wordage to SHOW us how it feels to live inside your mind. I am I am I am....
"The Bell Jar" by Sylvia Plath: This book is a large part of why I was weird and never spoke to anyone in high school. I still keep in on my shelf and re-read it often.
"If neurotic is wanting two mutually exclusive things at one and the same time, then I'm neurotic as hell. I'll be flying back and forth between one mutually exclusive thing and another for the rest of my days. ” Sylvia Plath -- The Bell Jar. My all time favorite book.
The Bell Jar - by Sylvia Plath. I went through a period of Sylvia Plath mania when I was in high school. This was the paperback edition that I put inside my 10th grade English textbook and read in class while we were supposed to be reading Julius Caesar. An eye-opening read for this 15-year-old in the 70s.

This is just full of awesome sauce and I couldn't have been happier with the fifth in the Archie Sheridan/Gretchen Lowell series. Definitely not for those who don't like a twisted serial killer thriller with lots of gruesome details (how can one forget the toilet tank full of floating eyeballs from the third book?). But for anyone who like their killers on the heinous side, run to get a copy as soon as its released in August.
