    Word work ideas

  • Ashley Stieber

Under the post-it note, you can put a letter or sight word you're working on! Each day the students come to school, they lift up the paper and tell you the password to get into class! :) SO FUN! Or have them write a journal entry for older kids so its relevant to what they're learning that day and put vocab on the word wall at the end of class.

Growing Kinders: Sight Words-put this outside the door, under the flap is a letter or sight word. Students have to tell you this to be able to enter the classroom. LOVE this

Outside the door, this teacher posts the new sight words of the week. Each time the children come into the door, they need to tell one of the sight words. This could also be done with vocabulary words. Love it!
