Dreamy Retreat In the bedroom, wallpaper is used sparingly for subtle flair. Above the bed, photos are matted with graphic wallpaper with a purple background that coordinates with the bedding. Next to the bed, side tables store books and other nighttime essentials. Lamps get a pop of color from wallpaper: The same used for the living room accent wall wraps lampshades.

To cover a lampshade, place a piece of wallpaper on a flat surface. Roll the shade along the wallpaper, tracing both edges. Add 1/2" to each edge, cut out the cover, use spray adhesive to attach it. Snip the excess paper at even intervals, fold to the back of the shade and secure with spray adhesive.
Wallpapered Accent Wall Bring a little patterned personality to a room with wallpaper. For a done-in-a-weekend project, opt to do just an accent wall, such as a wall in your foyer or the wall behind your bed.
Whether you need to maximize limited wall space or simply want a fresh look, display framed art one over another, using tall, narrow wall spaces to their full advantage.
