History lesson: Jadeite cookware was sold in five-cent shops in the 40s and 50s. It was that decade’s answer to our everyday Tupperware. Nothing fancy. Today, jadeite is very valuable and collectible. It’s fairly easy to find it in antique shops, but be prepared to spend a pretty penny on a nice piece of jadeite milk glass.
