A Milky Way Band. Most bright stars in our Milky Way Galaxy reside in a disk. Since our Sun also resides in this disk, these stars appear to us as a diffuse band that circles the sky. These two Herbig-Haro objects, (HH1 & HH2) are jets of ejected matter and gas flowing outward from a dust-hidden young star. along its polar axis. It is about 1,500 light-years away in the constellation Orion, near the Orion Nebula. The H-H objects are flowing out at a speed of over 434,959 mph (700,000 km/ph)

Herbig–Haro objects (left) and (right) are gas jets from a proto-star, located about light-years away from Earth in the equatorial constellation of Orion (the Hunter), near the Orion Nebula. The jets have a speed of more than kilometers per hour.

It is located near the Mira-type variable star T Cephei, and near the bright magnitude +3.23 variable star Beta Cephei (Alphirk). It lies 1,300 light-years away and is six light-years across.
