Across Africa, you’ll find Coca-Cola in any village at any time, but you won’t find medicine. This week’s hack solves that problem.

Colalife is a campaign and system design for transporting social products, such as re-hydration salts   and high-dose vitamin a tablets into developing countries through the coca-cola distribution system.   while shipping these products to remote villages in developing countries would prove very costly for   a non-profit company, by sending them with crates of coca-cola, the cost is made next to zero. the system   uses airpods which are specially designed to fit into crates of coke.

Diarrheal disease, which kills a million children younger than 5 each year, has an image problem. It doesn’t raise much alarm in industrialized countries, where it is merely a nuisance that can be treated with inexpensive, readily accessible remedies. In poorer countries, though, where a large majority of these children are dying, those remedies often cannot be found.
