Just remembering this phrase today- how my grandmother would always say this at the end of a conversation about something that upset me. Don't think she was picturing it as a tattoo though :)
"This too shall pass" is a proverb which is said to have eventuated from a fable which had a king assemble wise men to give him a ring that has the power to make him happy when he is sad, and vice versa. They returned him a ring inscribed with "This too shall pass". Tattoo. Arm tattoo.
I have never liked word tattoos, but this is a saying I would consider.
