How to dip-dye/ombré your hair. This is how i used to do it back in the day :) {black with pink tips}

  • Chelsey Shelton

Yes I know. Her hair wouldn't lift to that blond color if it had any existing color on it what so ever. Lol

Cool aid dye colors. Can use on hair to dye. Livvie we're doing colored tips this summer when you visit! xD

DIY Hair Color with Kool Aid. My daughter is begging me to let her do this.

  • Kitty Nikolai

I really want to do this, but so many photos I see the hair looks really dried out and brittle. I don't want to destroy my hair. Is this an issue for those of you who have tried it?

  • Mekinzi Lewis

Used to use Kool Aid all the time (in a different method) to boost my red color in between dyings :)

  • Beth Fraser

Don't do this unless you are ready for a 2 year run with it! I died a small section of my hair in January 2012 and it is just now fading!

  • Beth Fraser

It did not hurt my hair but it did make it awkward for faded hair color

  • Kandyce Haifley

I am begging my mom too. You should let your daughter do it for fun

Silk dyeing with Koolaid chart - this is seriously one of the most satisfying projects I have ever done.

Just for fun kool-aid hair Abigail wants a strip of pink hair like Barbie. This dye comes out in a couple of days and it doesn't damage your hair. This website has all kinds other neat idea.

This is cool but one of my friends did it like a year ago and it still has not come out!

  • Haley

Yes! it takes a while to come out if you do it right you can do your hair for like a dollar and it stays in WAY longer than salon dye.

How to temporarily dye your hair with Kool-Aid by Jesy Almaguer on A Subtle Revelry

"Kurt Cobain used to dye his hair with Kool-Aid. At Zac Posen SS 10 the twisted hairdos took their cues from punk and evolved it into a chic, psychedelic take on the ponytail." I hate those cut off ends.

as long as you don't do it with hot water it should come out. I think I just used cold water, conditioner, and kool aid packets. I did it at the beginning of summer so that when I went back to school it was out. If you boil the water instead of using cold water, it will probably never completely come out

  • Mariana Perez

Yes, Matney Althouse. I used hot water and the color stayed in for a long time.

  • Mariana Perez

No, Tamberlyn Bieri. It isn't permanent. It fades a little with every wash.

Cool! My daughter wants that she's only ten

  • Mariana Perez

Vanessa Mendoza my daughter was only 9 in that picture up there. We did it over the summer so it would fade before school started.
