Jack o Lantern - The practice of decorating “jack-o’-lanterns”—the name comes from an Irish folktale about a man named Stingy Jack—originated in Ireland, where large turnips and potatoes served as an early canvas. Irish immigrants brought the tradition to America, home of the pumpkin, and it became an integral part of Halloween festivities
Do you have a Carving Pumpkin event? This would be perfect for both KKGs and Chi Omegas! I see a sisterhood event in our future.
Great jack-o-latern for a camping theme classroom! Have the kids, make their own small pumpkins or gourds, and carve this for the main centerpiece. The less tradition halloween idea & more of a fall theme.
