A cool Easter idea to do with your kids. Plant an Easter Garden! Using potting soil, a tiny buried flower pot for the tomb, shade grass seed, & crosses made from twigs. Sprinkle grass seed generously on top of dirt, keep moistened using a spray water bottle. Spray it several times a day. Set it in a warm sunny location. Sprouts in 7-10 days so plan ahead. The tomb is EMPTY! He is Risen! He is Risen indeed! ♥

Beautiful. There is something so comforting about seeing these crosses before Easter. Reminds me what an awesome God we serve.

Our church saves the wood from the Christmas tree to make a cross for Good Friday. On Good Friday it is draped with black cloth. On Easter the wood is wrapped (like you would wrap an ace bandage). On Easter members of the congregation bring flowers from their gardens, which are attached by slipping the stems into the edges of the wrapped cloth.

HUGE SUCCESS at our church's Easter Egg Hunt at our craft station. Many parents complimented and kids loved it! We used food coloring and water to paint the sky and grass instead of water colors and some kids painted their cross brown using red, yellow and blue food coloring to get just the right color of brown. They turn out REALLY nice!

In my dream home I want as many reminders of the presence of God as possible. A pillow on my bed is a perfect place!
